My favorite take on Christmas Carol was the Blackadder version where he starts out as a good person and then the ghosts visit him and show him what right bastards his ancestors were (it was a special that included bits from other seasons of the show, which featured a different Blackadder ancestor asshole each season) and convince him to start being a prick too. IIRC the next morning he kicks Tiny Tim's crutches out from underneath him. Just a great reverse take on the trope and I'm surprised that nobody else ever did anything like that (as far as I know).

The Musk version would start out with him being an asshole and ending up an even bigger asshole.
