Given that this explicitly runs the Shareware release's first mission, you can just record and replay the "winning" keypresses like a tool assisted speedrun, no AI needed. I'm not sure if there's enough randomness in Doom to make killing the first 3 monsters in E1M1 something that could require different inputs due to randomness. My understanding is that Doom's replay system works because entering the same inputs on the same frames results in the same results from RNG every time.
Now if the dev cribbed code from OBLIGE to randomly generate the levels, or even just started from different areas in the levels of Shareware or FreeDoom, we'd have something even better.
