And they're going to do business with the new government anyway. It's clockwork. Those etim extremists will plan to carve up China. They've outright said as much too. Yet China will continue to send strongly worded letters about being "concerned" and "displeased" while vowing to not forget. As they've always done whenever the US arms Taiwanese separatists and builds bases to contain them.
They're going to learn the hard way that you need to put your foot down at some point. Trade partners≠friends.
I get where you're coming from but this type of analysis really pisses me off. The Chinese government isn't ruled by idiots, and terrorism hasn't been an issue since decades ago. Even within the country hardly anybody thinks Xinjiang is an 'unstable region'. Western funded insurgence has been a thing since 50's tibet, and if trading with the west would lead to it magically collapsing it would've happened long ago. China is not a fragile state.
