I think that's just the Catholics. Don't the others go in for "if you believe in Jesus you're good" approach?
A lot of Christian sects are feel good nonsense, yeah.
Like sure the text says you should give your stuff to the poor and (substantially!) help them, but that sounds hard so we're just going to pray and go back to football and Xbox.
