It’s hilarious you posted this from Fedia.io, a US based instance. Users like you shouldn’t be throwing rocks.

Nothing is stopping you from running your own instance.

Edit: to the users saying “but but but HOSTING IS DA HARD” then you should be even EXTRA careful to not be throwing rocks huh?

Nothing is stopping you from running your own instance.

I get your sentiment, but I think you're making it sound easier than it is to set up your own Lemmy instance. Afaik, you have to be pretty knowledgeable to set up an secure instance, and pay for a domain, and hosting etc. So there's a few things right there that stop someone from creating their own instance.
