Exit Tariff - A border tax collected on goods leaving the country.
Combine that with handing the tariff straight to the company that should the product and all you've done is jack up prices in the target country.
There's so much fuckery that can go on with trade.
So much for real maple syrup.
There would be some American maple syrup but yeah it's price would rise sharply too because they aren't dummies. Protectionism always hurts the consumer.
