I am trying to get the full version of an article in AdAge, which is paywalled. Unfortunately, 13ft ladder gets blocked by AdAge's DDoS protection, Internet Archive doesn't return the full article, and my university can't help (despite having access to the publication).

However, people with subscriptions to AdAge can "donate" articles to non-paying individuals. Seeing as how I only need the one article, I am asking around online if anyone can help.

Is there a community on Lemmy where it would be appropriate to ask?

Right, its always the most obsecure publications that put really strict security on their articles. I can only get a tiny bit more of the article through them, as thats all that is prerendered. Spoofing the user agent as googlebot gives a cloudflare error, searching for the title of the article on reddit, bluesky and twitter returned nothing, so it doesn;t seem like people are sharing it much either.

As with /r/411 this is where you ask what Community you're looking for but not finding. Perhaps a bit more helpful now that some communities are only found on certain instances.

Found/new community announcements - there are numerous "announcement type communities - see https://lemmy.ca/post/612532

There is also !wowthislemmyexists@lemmy.ca

Before you request There are several resources available to find communities and resources and these have been pinned to the top.
