Norway will more than double its financial pledge to Ukraine this year while also hiking its own defence spending, the prime minister said on Thursday, declaring the Nordic country faced its most serious security situation for 80 years.

This comment is weak and trumpish.

Fuck Trump, he is an orange micro-dick dumb fuck. Europe is pitifully impotent pacifists and also pathetically hesitant in helping nearby allies. Both can be true.

[-] DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social 0 points 5 days ago

And therefore the OBVIOUS solution is to criticize increased support. Duh.

[-] BaroqueInMind@lemmy.one 1 points 5 days ago

No, you're correct. I'm just mad it took this long to help out Ukraine.

What makes the comment weak and trumpish? They bring up a good point in that Europe has delayed this level of support until now. Why did they wait so long on something so important when that level of support earlier on could've prevented Russia from daring to push further? Is that not the purpose of having Ukraine join NATO, to give a security guarantee that would stop Russia from even thinking of invading in the future? Yes, the support now is good, but we have to look at the situation critically to understand how we can do better in the future.

Why couldn't you read more than two comments deep?

[-] shani66@ani.social 0 points 3 days ago

You mean the comment where you went on a complete nonsequitur? They didn't criticize assisting Ukraine, they criticized the fact that they didn't aide Ukraine.

Speaking of being too lazy to read the full context before you comment:

Oh, look, OP admitting he was out of pocket a full day before you decided to stick your head in.

Also? Don't use terms you don't understand. It's embarrassing for everyone else to have to see it.
