I've been running a variation of this as an add-on in my HomeAssistant installation, and it works well. I just wish there was a way to block YouTube ads.
isponsorblock and isponsorblocktv are pretty good options for muting/blocking ads and skipping sponsored content
Ublock for pc, smarttube for TV.
