Linear, action hidden gems like The Red Star?
(piefed.social)
A gaming community free from the hype and oversaturation of current releases, catering to gamers who wait at least 12 months after release to play a game. Whether it's price, waiting for bugs/issues to be patched, DLC to be released, don't meet the system requirements, or just haven't had the time to keep up with the latest releases.
Maybe not that much of a hidden gem but I don’t see it listed in your favourites and I would expect to based on the other entries - Nier: Automata?
Hmm… I couldn't get into it at all, TBH. I tried it long time ago and here's what I remember: "go to X on the map and talk to Y to progress" really put me off, and I didn't enjoy the combat enough to put up with it.
I've been thinking about giving the prequel a shot though. Is it any less nonlinear?
Haven’t played other Nier games but I think older entries are quite different in general. If you didn’t like combat of Automata then it’s probably a dead end.
