Don't eat from the can. The inside of the can is lined with plastic, so if you heat the can itself the plastic will leach into your food.
Oh, I don't heat it at all, I just eat it room temperature

You know that the food is cooked in the sealed can at the factory, right?
I watched a documentary about the heinz factory and that was one of the surprising facts I took away from it.
I guess I didn't know that. Yikes. I'm glad I don't eat many canned goods.
