I love Dan, he's my favourite in Alkaline Trio, he has this hauntingly beautiful way of writing songs that just hit me right in the feels and that voice, he could turn me. I'm jealous you got to meet him.
I agree, the songs Dan leads on vocals usually end up being my favorites from their albums. His solo stuff is really good too!
Whenever I'm feeling defeated by life and just want to curl up in a ball and hide, I listen to this song and it just sets everything right again, sometimes I cry, sometimes I smile, but I always feel better afterwards no matter what.
An amazing song for sure! I never heard this recording of it, so damn good. Thanks for sharing!
