Mangione’s murder of Brian Thompson -- an innocent man and father of two young children

Innocent man my ass

[-] samus12345@lemm.ee 364 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

19 and 16 are "young" children? Not to mention the fact that he was separated from his wife and his contact with them was limited. Unlike with hundreds, if not thousands, of parents he killed with his policy of denying coverage.

The obvious fellating of the ruling class by the mainstream media is annoying as fuck.

Nearly 26.6 million people in the U.S. rely on UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual through insured and self-funded plans. In addition, we serve more than 7.5 million people with care and benefits services outside of the United States.

Rather than hundreds to thousands, I'm going to go with thousands to tens of thousands.

How about a new rule... You don't get to call them young children if you think that they are old enough to work long hours at a hazardous job without breaks, or that they are old enough (by 2 or more years!) to be married to a 60+ year old pervert. You lose all moral standing to call them "young children" if you do.

Same aged kids are 'practically an adult' when congressmen traffic then.

[-] grue@lemmy.world 22 points 11 months ago

Or when they commit a crime while black.

[-] tocopherol@lemmy.dbzer0.com 14 points 11 months ago

If they are in a warzone they are old enough to be hit with an airstrike without further identification because they are "military aged".

[-] AbidanYre@lemmy.world 15 points 11 months ago

Who go you think owns the mainstream media?

[-] samus12345@lemm.ee 17 points 11 months ago

Well, yeah. But they're not even bothering to pretend to be a separate Fourth Estate any more.

Brian Thompson - unconvicted mass murderer and father of two grown children.

[-] KingJalopy@lemm.ee 75 points 11 months ago

For which he thankfully received the death penalty.

When it's in pursuit of shareholder value, it's not murder. /s

I guarantee as that piece of shit bled out on the sidewalk, the words "why me?" didn't cross his minds. He knew what he did to deserve it. He did deserve it, as do countless other greedy mother fuckers who are ruining the world for personal gain.

[-] Sciaphobia@lemm.ee 16 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

If anything went through his head other than possibly a bullet, it would not shock me at all if "why me" or "what did I do to deserve this" was there. No one with intact empathy or a conscience could do what he did. If he was capable of recognizing his failings he wouldn't have been willing to earn his wealth by stepping on the necks of the sick.

[-] ipkpjersi@lemmy.ml 15 points 11 months ago

That's crazy they can actually say that he was an innocent man and actually believe it. The level of mindfuckery required for that is absolutely unfathomable.

[-] JunglisticFunkateer@lemmy.world 7 points 11 months ago

They're corporate shills.
