General community for news/discussion in the UK.
Less serious posts should go in !casualuk@feddit.uk or !andfinally@feddit.uk
More serious politics should go in !uk_politics@feddit.uk.
Try not to spam the same link to multiple feddit.uk communities.
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.
Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.
Have you considered that you are in fact being hateful and a bigot?
No, sir/ma'am. Not at all. I don't hate anyone or care what others say or do. I just like the concept of common sense. It's seriously lacking in the world we live in. I could give relative examples but I find it is pointless to waste my time as it is nearly impossible to hold intelligent, meaningful, and rationale conversations when it comes to this type of subject matter. No offense to you or anyone else intended. I don't like to debate with emotional responses. Disagreeing is OK. That's what keeps things interesting.
Makes sense to me. I don't think anyone with your opinions could really comprehend any biology past 3rd grade, let alone have a nuanced conversation about gender and society. No offense to you or anyone else intended.
Already with your emotions... Thank you kindly for proving my point. We can now agree that this conversation is over. Have a nice day.
Someone sounds triggered and unable to have a discussion without a strong emotional response. So much so that they had to agree on my behalf to "end the conversation".
Guess I was right? No offense and all those pleasantries.
