X-Men don't get their powers until puberty

Both professor x and his sister had their powers in utero. Nightcrawler famously developed his powers pre-puberty, he was zipping around both physically mutated (from birth) and his teleportation as a young child. Generally mutants develop powers at puberty, but that's just a rule of thumb.

As much as I appreciate a good "well actually", neither of the two mutants featured in the comic got their powers in utero.

I was actually just responding to your "well actually". That's funny!

Nightcrawler didn't get his powers in utero (although his physical mutation exists since birth, but was just as much related to his parentage), but he's literally one of the only mutants to have been famous for his fully active mutant power as a child.

I would "akshualy" be remiss in not mentioning that physical and mental stress activates almost as many mutants as puberty!

Oh nice, I went down a rabbit hole with this: Jamie Maddox too, some of the Morlocks, Legion definitely, and even Cable showed some in infancy.

X2 as well, but that might just be the result of army engineering her that way
