It seems you're right, this behavior is of lower quality than even abusive ad hominem, and probably just fits in the "name calling" base of the hierarchy. Lowest of the low. There's a lot of examples of such behavior in this thread.

Complaining about "fallacy reffing" is very self serving when the fallacy is on your side. It pretty much demonstrates that no one here is capable of having a debate in good faith.
