She changed her name to Suzy and became She by preference, but he is also happy to be referred to as he or Eddie.
That's awesome, always loved her every since I watched her special Dressed to Kill on HBO when I was a teen. Was the first show I bought digitally on Amazon long ago too.
I keep seeing casual mentions of "positive experiences" with fascist companies these days. This hasnt happened before. New influx of people or paid advertising?

Glad to spread a little laughter this morning.
I try not to mention brands explicitly, but plenty of people seem to do that. I think a big issue is that brands have become verbs. People don't search for information, they google it. They don't buy things, they prime them. They don't watch generic TV they watch Netflix. I have a family member that calls all sneakers Nikes. I think branding has become "better" and marketers are making their brands an important part of the activity itself. It might just be a passive culture shift due to this difference.
Because they are able to take over the market by illicit means.

Some people understand that global warming, fascism and other dangers to humanity are real, others are deeply oblivious. Its fascinating.
What's fascinating is how you turned "I bought this show a while back" into a political argument.
I'd argue a majority of the people on this fringe platform understand the dangers you name, but not everyone wants it to be the only thing they ever discuss.
Can someone with more patience than either of us please grab 10,000 social media posts from a year ago and 10,000 posts from this week, and run them through a lightweight LLM to flag up how often it's happened?

Probably made even more difficult by the quotes about how "they're not women's clothes, they're my clothes". I don't exactly keep up with celebrity news, so up until this post Eddie Izzard being resolutely a man who wore makeup and clothes designed for women was my default assumption.
Yep exactly I think she just understands that people might not be aware. She seems like the kind of reasonable person to be that way.
Yeah I even assumed "Suzy" was a character or something at first, kinda like Borat, used to make a some statement; that just feels like an Eddie Izzard move. But based on the new information, it seems like "Suzy Izzard" is correct and sincere?
It is a bit of a shame, since it does somewhat undermine the strength of dressing how one likes despite gender norms; bolsters the narrative that that's just part of the pipeline, and not valid in and of itself. But, she's not compelled to moderate her expression in order to uphold some banner of transvestite representation. She can obviously do whatever makes her happy and I'm happy for her

In all fairnes that is what she called herself in the few specials I watched of hers.
