I think I handled it well.
I told them yes in a longx50 time. While I was wiping their butt. Then they asked if they were going to die. I told them maybe, when they are an old old old lady like Grandma.
That seemed to go well enough.

When my son was 2 he had trouble with the F sound and would substitute D.

So there was a video my Mom sent me after he had slept over at her house of birds flying by and he said “the birds died!” And she asks him why the birds died. And he replied, “they are looking for dood (food)”.

My mom is hard of hearing and just totally didn’t get it, so she was all concerned he had some weird morbid thing going on. My wife and I laughed so hard when we heard the second sentence about dood (food).
