May 24th, 2025: Smooth
I have a theory now that I'm 23 shaves in on Straight Razors, that my edge preference for straights is similar to what I like in a DE blade. I like mild blades that aren't excessively sharp (keen?). Still sharp enough to cut a whisker, but maybe with a little bit of resistance. Too much resistance would be tuggy and not good, but a little bit treats me well. Super smooth, no irritation, and a pleasant experience.
Thanks to @sahenders@sub.wetshaving.social for the new SOTD thread icon. It's only visible with certain viewing methods like Alexandrite (https://gem.wetshaving.social/), Summit for android, and I'm sure some other apps.
