I think this captures the essence of "Punk Mickey Mouse" that Sonic originally was supposed to have.

I think it fits more than the skater bro we got in the late 90s/2000s or the quippy Marvel hero we have now. Plus he actually looks like a hedgehog.

yea that looks pretty good. i really don't like the modern designs... they look really uncanny to me. especially the movie ones
