Our cats fight and hiss at each other and “hunt” each other when humans are around, but I have woken up numerous times to go to the bathroom and they are cuddling together on the couch.

Same here. When we're away, not a single hair is out of place. But when we're home, it's WrestleMania Live in a hair carpet factory.
