Fucking crazy they don't put the cameras on an air gap network. My last two work places do this. Sure its inconvenient and makes a little bit more work but control is everything for that kind of shit. Especially in healthcare facilities, that privacy needs to be paramount.
Healthcare has some of the worst IT.
Not blaming the IT staff, it's that healthcare leadership does a poor job prioritizing IT.
Having worked with healthcare and finance (banking) IT, the difference is staggering.
Banking doesn't mess around when it comes to Risk Management, healthcare doesn't seem to know what it means.
Health care admins are parasites focused on extraction. They don't care about patients lol do you really expect them to care about security?
No one should trust cameras. Even at home my house cameras are on their own vlan with no internet. How can professionals not implement something as easy as that.
