If this means that an Xbox compatibility layer is coming to windows, I'm slightly interested.

Unfortunately, it does not.

Im holding my breath hoping Xbox is smart enough to realize they need to merge their PC and Xbox game stores.... But the technical overhead required to do such a thing probably means they wont, even though theyre the only company that could pull it off.

Not pursuing this will mean the death of Xbox hardware, mark my words.

apart from sharing a cpu architecture, that's pretty much where the similarity ends. Just because the cpu is x64 doesn't mean the software will work with the rest of the architecturally different hardware (ex. data buses that simply don' t exist on pc)

It's always fun when, during a work presentation to higher ups, the XBox Game Bar or its notification popup on screen from an errant key press.

2. Be civil
  • Understand the difference between a joke and an insult.
  • Do not harrass or attack users for any reason. This includes using blanket terms, like "every user of thing".
  • Don't get baited into back-and-forth insults. We are not animals.
  • Leave remarks of "peasantry" to the PCMR community. If you dislike an OS/service/application, attack the thing you dislike, not the individuals who use it. Some people may not have a choice.
  • Bigotry will not be tolerated.
  • 3. Post Linux-related content
