It's ok to change your mind- to say you were wrong or lied to. This is how the tide turns.
This is true, but it's undeniably relevant to this community. By 2024, you definitely have to have known this is what Trump wanted, but even disregarding that:

doesn't read that he's changed his mind about Trump, be just doesn't agree with this particular thing.
