  1. Buy a single color van without any text on it
  2. Find 2 people to help you
  3. Cover your faces
  4. Drive to your victim, jump out, shout "ICE, you are under arrest" and throw the victim into the van

All people around you will think that nothing unusual is happening.

Ever sense I heard this meme can apparently get you denied entry to the US. I will not stop spreading it and sharing it.

[-] Postmortal_Pop@lemmy.world 4 points 5 months ago

Stop that! You'll get him deported.

[-] match@pawb.social 1 points 5 months ago

awh shit,i was hoping our tiananmen censorship equivalent would be better

[-] SoleInvictus@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 5 months ago

Now they're on to me!

I mean the evangelical security guard last known registered as a Republican, best friend said was Republican, and spoke out openly against pro choice democrats to the extent of making a list and murdering families and injuring others was actively voiced as being left leaning by the media simply because it helps their narrative. I don't think they are looking to verify anything.

"Our intelligence reports say they are not making nuclear weapons" -i dont care, we are bombing them. "Our intelligence reports say the facilities weren't completely obliterated" -i dont care, your intelligence is fake news because it doesn't fit our narrative.

But he had paper he printed out!

[-] lemmydividebyzero@reddthat.com 6 points 5 months ago

Nah, it could be a white AF looking person from Germany that shared a meme of the vice president...

[-] merc@sh.itjust.works 3 points 5 months ago

Do you mean the one from Norway? He wasn't picked up by a van, he was denied entry at the airport.

[-] Kaboom@reddthat.com -2 points 5 months ago

And it was because of his admitted drug use. But don't let facts get in the way of a good circle jerk

Never believe a cop that can legally lie to you and jam you up for hurting their feelings. Fuck all cops. And ICE agents running around like the gravy seals are hardly cops, just wannabes.

[-] lars@lemmy.sdf.org 0 points 5 months ago

When they finally settle on a story, and then announce it, just like they always do, then I, for one, believe we must always take out our boys in blue at their word.

[-] hungryphrog@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

He was Norwegian, and only denied entry, not kidnapped.

[-] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 2 points 5 months ago
[-] corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca 1 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

Yeah. We're pretty concerned about Florida ICE killing our petit criminals on the way home.

[-] SoleInvictus@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 5 months ago

And your helpers and you must be white.

[-] BetaBlake@lemmy.world 6 points 5 months ago

Eh I don't know, a ton of these kidnappers have been Hispanic and black.

[-] anomnom@sh.itjust.works 1 points 5 months ago

I wouldn’t say a ton, but plenty, and any is too many (of any kind).

Showerthoughts

A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The most popular seem to be lighthearted clever little truths, hidden in daily life.

Here are some examples to inspire your own showerthoughts:

Rules

  1. All posts must be showerthoughts
  2. The entire showerthought must be in the title
  3. No politics
    • If your topic is in a grey area, please phrase it to emphasize the fascinating aspects, not the dramatic aspects. You can do this by avoiding overly politicized terms such as "capitalism" and "communism". If you must make comparisons, you can say something is different without saying something is better/worse.
    • A good place for politics is c/politicaldiscussion
  4. Posts must be original/unique
  5. Adhere to Lemmy's Code of Conduct and the TOS

If you made it this far, showerthoughts is accepting new mods. This community is generally tame so its not a lot of work, but having a few more mods would help reports get addressed a little sooner.

Whats it like to be a mod? Reports just show up as messages in your Lemmy inbox, and if a different mod has already addressed the report, the message goes away and you never worry about it.
