I'm going to keep this short and spoiler free. The final main line Laundry Files novel has been out a few days now. There may be more New Management books (he mentioned an Imp book a while back) but he's got a space opera up next.

I finished the new one and enjoyed it. Loved the reference to a couple of terrible 70s flicks. It's a pretty good wrap up to the series.

It is back to Bob as the main character. Plenty of Mo. If you read the New Management books you'll likely recognize a minor character from there. Johnny MacTavish's family comes into play. A couple of the guns were left on the mantle but the big stuff is wrapped and we're not left wondering about the fate of anyone important.

People also seem to somehow believe that free speech in the US means that private instances can't deplatform you for the things you say.

I have no idea why anyone thinks that extends to anyone besides the government censoring speech or why they think free speech means freedom from the consequences of that speech.

Disturbingly accurate. I ain't out doing midlife crisis shit because I suddenly stared into the abyss at my own mortality. It's because I can afford everything I've always wanted to do.

I think she was checking to see if he thought females probably deserved it. There's a bunch of young dudes falling down that particular hole right now.

Some guy played to level 255 and it rolled back to level 0, (that's the rebirth). Then he played to level 91 after that. To answer an unasked but important question: he did it on a ROM and not a cartridge because it's pretty damn likely a cartridge would have crashed long before this point. Even on this particular ROM there are a bunch of ways to crash it (there's loads of them documented).

Paxton said he'd sue Harris and Bexar counties if they sent voter registration forms to "unverified recipients".

I wonder why Paxton doesn't want Harris county to vote.

That was my entire idea for a podcast. Thanks for shitting on my dream. I guess I'll never start it now.

Hey, DNC, aren't you desperate to put a woman up for election? You've got a fiery, quick-witted, awesome, young one here that is full of ideas and not afraid to try stuff. The conservatives haven't had time to run decades of smear tactics against her and she hasn't been threatening her husband's SA victims. I bet she already has a plan to deal with someone accusing her of being born in Mexico (I understand she's Puerto Rican, but that's not the bogeyman) and shut it down before years of idiocy bring it up again.

She's standing behind Biden this time around. I'm hoping for a run in 2028. It would be the first presidential candidate in a while that I didn't hold my nose to vote for.

The guy inside it drawing them is insanely fast at his job. That's also why they were so bulky, to fit the guy who does the drawing.

It does not remain to be seen. Blood and Honey already exists.

She's now qualified to do 90% of my job. Unfortunately the other 10% is explaining why it works.
