Why are Indian scam callers always male? (lemmy.zip)

No offense to Indians at all here, we all know the scam caller role is a stereotype. But they do have all those scam callers, and I noticed that whenever I pick up the phone and it’s them, never have I ever gotten another woman on the other line. It’s always a guy who asks about the warranty on my nonexistent car. Why? Are only men there allowed to scam everyone while scamming hasn’t entered the sphere of womens’ rights yet?

The time difference.

In general Indian call centers have about 50/50 men and women employed. There seem to be slightly more men in the scam centers, but there are women there as well. The biggest factor is probably that it's considered taboo for women to work night jobs. And the time difference to where you live mean you don't get many.
