Is it golden of Fibonacci? I never even considered the difference until now.

Edit: Just noticed OP said it's the golden ratio.

Fibonacci numbers are extremely related to the golden ratio: if you take the ratio of successive pairs of Fibonacci numbers, that ratio will approach the golden ratio. You can prove this algebraically.

Also fun fact: this works for any pair of integers if you construct the sequence using the same rules as the Fibonacci numbers
