This is obviously an objective criteria, so the mods are always right. Or maybe mildly right? Ahh.. what do we know?

Yeah, kind of. I live in Minnesota and here raw ingredients, and essential food items are untaxed. Prepared foods, candy, soda and anything "non-essential" are taxed normally.
