You don't wanna be in the middle of an asphalt wasteland that's at least 20° hotter than a grassy area with no shade or trees whatsoever cooking the concrete you will inevitably walk barefoot on during peak pool use time like summer? Won't you think of the shareholders profits for one second!
In my city they built an even stupider version of this a few years ago, not in a parking lot but in the middle of a busy road crossing.

I'm going to have to admit that the shareholders' profit is something I rarely give half a shit about. It's a personal problem of mine, and it's something I've been working to correct. I actually had a breakthrough the other day, where for a brief second I thought "But will the rich cunts be able to make money off of my hard labour?". Some people don't think that's progress, but I'm very proud of finally being able to consider the feelings of literal pieces of shit.
