Listening to the politicians today on Afternoon Briefing. There is a lobby campaign from Big Tech saying “You need to hurry or you’ll miss out”. You can tell the word are coming straight from lobbyists because the politicians literally had no clue what that actually means.

It's interesting that I listened to some podcasts recently, and the general idea was that the FIRST to get an AGI could never be caught. The slope on the curve will just be too steep.

All other AGIs will be like a cute puppy in comparison. And humans, well, we might be like a microbe....
