Manga
Blooming Love is a pretty generic romcom. A competent one so far, but it's VERY familiar slop. B-
Anime
Gundam SEED, at around 3/4 of the show is... alright. It has not shit the bed... yet (?). Definitely not the best, but less of a trainwreck I expected. We'll see about SEED Destiny. B-
CITY. Nichijou 2 is peak. The most recent episode was mesmerizing, and like a comrade stated, it evokes the feeling of being in a social situation and being sensory overloaded quite well lol. A+
Nisemonogatari. Horrible Oreimo flashbacks. Please no. Kizumonogatari was shockingly peak before that (but I am de jure a goth and vampire slop is always fun). Apparently the infamous toothbrush scene is as horny as it gets. Will it continue being questionable? Almost certainly lol. 🥴
Dragon Ball Z. The refrigerator man is a good villain. The pace is still slowwwwww. A
Western Animation
Gravity Falls is still fun. Though I feel so far Mabel was a less obnoxiously written character in S1? Stan on the other hand, a kid friendly version of Quark from DS9. I love that old bastard.

I know you think it's good, but why are you suddenly speaking Nadsat?
What sorts of things do you dislike about romance anime? I'm wondering because I've honestly seen very little "proper" romance anime in general, including very little yuri and BL.
You've certainly been singing its praises. I'd mentioned that I had seen a different sort-of geology themed anime, Asteroid in Love, not too long ago — by which I mean I finished it almost exactly a year ago already how does that happen — but Asteroid in Love sort of splits its attention with astronomy, as the title suggests. It's a Kirara thing and IMO middle tier, but I do certainly wonder how Ruri Rocks compares to it as far as the very specific niche of Cute Girls Doing Geology goes — and who knows, maybe you'd like Asteroid in Love better than I did. They certainly get a lot of mutual recommendations.
Brest ain't just a city in Belarus
mimiyori made a video called "Why Women LOVE This Fanservice Anime" about the popularity of My Dress-Up Darling, it was interesting. I still haven't seen My Dress-Up Darling, though, but my boomer mom read the manga and evidently enjoyed it.
Incidentally, mimiyori also just made a video about "how to spot a REAL girlfail" which is neat because I don't think I'd ever encountered the term before reading this comment.
Uhm ackshyully it's called Türkiye! now get it right
Look at that, that's one of the shows in the endless gaping chasm of the Planning List.
Well, at least I won't be getting FOMO for not binging through CITY. I'll evidently be taking my sweet time with it anyways.
I did manage to have a sustained interest in Shikanoko from beginning to end, though.
