What in the fuck. Like yeah, talk to this girl and her parents and make sure she's not being for real, but the rest of this shit is horrendous and parents should be rioting at that school and/or police station
I legitimately cannot fathom how the law allows police to detain a minor and refuse to allow their parents to check on them. Especially when there are no allegations or suspicion of parental misconduct.
In any other context that is literally kidnapping. It makes my blood fucking boil.
inb4 this just encourages more coded racism and dogwhistles by kids to avoid the slaughterbot overwatching their every utterance. Like if you're a dumb kid raised by racist parents your inflection point between redemption and total Nazi probably begins when you're stripped by adults over a racist text.
