Do you think this fediverse-analogy is any good for telling people about the fediverse?

(FYI: I'm not a native speaker so please bear with some potential grammatical errors)

I think it's a pretty nice analogy! The one minor issue I have is it makes moving between instances sound way more seamless than it actually is, almost like Mastodon migrations, although it's probably fine for a quick intro.

I take that into consideration - I mean its also a bit of wishful thinking and advertisment. It should be that easy, right?

Ah, fair enough! I'm not holding my breath because the main developers aren't really on the same page for now according to the respective GitHub issue but I do hope it eventually becomes a thing.

Then it's more a fediverse utopia than a fediverse analogy :-P

Honestly, I think we should stay true to what it is, not to what it might become. We don't know if, and when.

It's better to not wake expectations than to disappoint them.
