Pickup trucks and SUVs are both classified as light trucks. Also most of them are built on the same frames
And this is reflected colloquially? Like, people straight up call SUV’s “trucks?” People think of SUV’s first when someone says “trucks?”
Some people do call suvs trucks. Not sure if anyone thinks of an suv first tho
In many places, there's no perceived difference between an suv and a pickup truck. Nobody uses a pickup truck for actual work related activities, so they're both essentially the same thing with different shapes.
