I'm just explaining that the military isn't equivalent to Gestapo, since Gestapo was the secret police. So you wouldn't be working for America's Gestapo if you joined the military.
The military in the US has basically become militarized police. They are mostly brainwashed crayon-eaters that gargle Trump's balls, so we are all fucked.
