That's when training courses and learning from your comrades enter.

Also, coal mining isn't the healthiest activity. But coal miners in socialism do get extremely high benefits, a decade earlier of retirement, extra wages and holidays, very regular medical checkups, preferential position to go to sanatories and vacational complexes...

Plus, if you're north Korean, you get to wear literally coal-made clothes (the material is Vinylon, AKA juche fabric), which is absurdly cool, epic and based.
