After screenshotting this and going back to Lemmy I had the correct image again.

Specific steps for reproduction:
Expand missing image.
Click retry. Retry reappears.
Close.
Expand working image, error appears.
Click retry, error does not reappear.
Close working image.
Open missing image. Other image appears.
