What law was broken?

The cops went through his social media until they found something?

Do they do that to everyone or is this guy internet famous?

Probably something about incitement to violence considering that he directly says to punch trans women as a response to their presence in specific places
More likely someone reported it
He's real life famous, he wrote several very successful TV series prior to his bizarre career switch to being a dickhead on twitter
