Supriya Dwivedi, who worked as a senior adviser to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, found the decision mystifying.

“It’s honestly mind-boggling why any Liberal government would invite a key figure involved in the horror show that is Project 2025,” Dwivedi told The Tyee over text.

I mean, if you did simply misremember, I can tell you I've definitely done that before!

Whether or not Carney invited Thiel, though, the two of them are definitely not strangers. The two are among a small number of Bilderberg participants who attended every single year over the last decade or so, for starters. (Except for 2020 & 2021 when the meetings were cancelled due to the pandemic)

Then there's the president of Palantir Canada, David MacNaughton, who sits on the PM's Council for Canada-US Relations. Wow, small world, right?

If Carney really did invite Thiel, the shocking bit is mostly that they'd be so open about how connected they are tbh!
