I said in the last thread garp is foil to his own kid dragon. I was right. We see dragon witness the real face of the ruling class with zero obscurity. So does garp soon. But both go off into different fates.
Comparing Dragon and Garp is interesting because Garp hates doing the bidding of the Celestial Dragons but stays in the Marines to follow what he thinks is just. Dragon sees the brutality of the Celestial Dragons first hand and that leads him to leave the Marines to fight for freedom, something that Garp can't seem to understand.
