Regarding a discussion in the previous thread with fan narratives or comprehension. I see a lot of that building around shakky or rocks and broadly god valley itself.

Lot of such shitty narrative exists around ace dying too. That ace couldn't stand admiral mocking newgate. Its not like ace is some more moron, him or other yonko commanders can keep up with these admirals. Him dying was a broader gesture that existed since the start. Shanks losing his arm to save luffy. Luffy pulls people towards him like that, its presented throughout the prison break and further. Ace out of sheer instincts jumping to protect luffy in a heartbeat without any forethought, is a testament to that. Ace could've had a different future or could have done more in life. But in that moment all that mattered to him was standing behind luffy. Even with whitebeard almost at death's door at that point ace still did that.

Now same sort of simplification surrounds shakky or rocks. Its floated online saying this is Troy situation with helen being shakky. That in and of itself on is a thin way to see this. Or worse that rocks is only going to god valley cause he or others are enchanted by shakky.

To break it further oda this chapter clearly put that god valley is the last refuge for holdovers of the void century. Namely rocks' own family. Rocks stating that needed to save his son and wife even though he puts a larger than life front for his crew, is on its own pretty harrowing. Rocks is walking into genocide if his remaining people. But he brings his crew along with the notion that they are gonna save shakky.

Of course some of the crew sort of guess it like newgate who thought it was a rumour. Its not to say they don't care about shakky, shakky is part of rocks group even if she isn't a pirate by the time.

The major theme for this whole arc is portrayal of the celestial class in their barbaric colonization of the remaining world after void century. Its about targeting different ethnic groups/races just cause they refuse to join WG protection racket. And also extermination of such people who at some point sided with ancient kingdom/joyboy. It permeates throughout by targeting said groups with slavery and genocide. Kuja women, fishmen, buccaneers, and now davy clan.

Targeting shakky or boa or shirahoshi or ginny brings us to a pattern emblematic to the slave owners. Often bleeding into real people like jefferson or leopold.

What I'm stating here above is not conjecture but the most literal stuff oda has hammered into the last few chapters.
