So long as corporate and greedy interests exist, we can't have preservation efforts such as this.
Try archiving and preserving old games not being sold? Nintendo and other video game companies will have a problem. Try archiving and preserving old text books, old books in general? Publishing firms will have a problem. Try archiving and preserving old movies and shows? Hollywood and other networking studios will have a problem. Try archiving and preserving old music? Recording labels will have a problem.
