When they say security, they mean their own financial security.
I'm almost certain that rooting is going to come back with a vengeance and we'll be doing ever so slightly more complicated workarounds. Fuck Google. I refuse to watch a YouTube ad or sponsor unless I directly consent to supporting that individual creator.
I'll take that bet.
I am going to bet they come for Rooting next. Unlockable Bootloaders.
