I know that you can achieve auto-tilling with something like xpytile but haven't gotten around to using it.

i always envy people who put this much tlc into their desktop environment since i used to do the same thing.

now-a-days i just go with stock gnome, kde or xfce; depending on what i intend to use the system for.
