tests have been available since the 1980's; they just don't want gays there.

I'm not allowed to give blood since I'm gay and have an active sex life

-- maybe true in soviet russia; but in capitalist america it's merely native american reservation relocation. lol

isreal is culling the native population down to a small, manageable, non-threatening population where they can throw token sorry-for-the-genocide money at their generationally impoverished reservation from now on.

They want a device that “just works” and has their ecosystem.

i have friends that struggle to pay rent and they're forced to pay apple's extortion-esque prices when something goes wrong or when purchasing their phones and equipment.

witnessing them suffer like this hits close to home for me because i grew up poor enough to ration out the government cheese & powdered milk along with asking extended family and begging neighbors for food so that we could stay alive until next payday and also because i'm tech savvy enough to understand how unscrupulously apple has behaved at creating this well designed trap of an ecosystem that's actively easy to fall into and passively difficult to leave; locking my friends into a seeming perpetually repeating cycle of new iphones and government cheese.

i think that the icing on this shit-cake is that they're all atleast vaguely aware that apple is screwing them over; but they still accept it because it either "just works" or it's "all they know" and that blows my mind because 5-year-old-me HATED government powdered milk in my cereal enough to switch to oatmeal for breakfast if it were an option.

"compromise with the rich" would have been very on-the-nose

the other guys gonna do it anyway so you have to give me consent because I rape less

in a capitalist system; you can can use the spirit of a free market to shop around and find someone who will rape you the least.

it's a requirement not to be homeless in our late stage situation.

Weird timeline we’re in.

neoliberals and conservatives are flip sides of the same coin to be spent in the same vending machine of american hegemony; whether or not they select the same flavor makes little difference compared to the very real choices available in some other vending machines rich enough to effectively defend itself from the american machine.

you're right; my diagnosis is recent and i haven spent enough time learning about it.

these 2 countries were so intertwined in the past thanks to their penchants for apartheid governments that they literally shared nuclear secrets with each other to build their own nuclear bombs; one dropped apartheid and now they're adversaries.

i'm too autistic to care about other people's feelings when i share my political opinions and my post history is littered with it especially since my life has also been heavily impacted by clinton enacting don't ask don't tell; biden extolling executive order 10450; clinton, bush jr, obama, trump and biden's immigration policies; the country's student loan debt situation created by biden's student loan act; biden using the inflation reduction action to block truly affordable EV's; and biden banning tiktok.

i'll save you the trouble of going through my post history and give you a tldr: both clintons & biden are shit stains in this country's political history and have fucked me over much more than trump could ever fantasize about; even with project 2025. i also wish kamala was better so that i could vote for her, but she's seems hellbent on make sure that i don't; so i'm 99% sure i'll end up voting for the green party again as i have done in the past 12 years, but this time around i'm deeply touched that nearly all of the people who know and care about me will be doing something similar thanks to my proselytizing.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib: “But Palestinians are not just numbers. Behind these numbers are real people — mothers, fathers, sons, daughters — who have had their lives stolen from them and their families torn apart. And we should not be trying to hide it. These are innocent children and babies who have been bombed in their tents, burned alive, dismembered and deliberately starved to death. Where is our shared humanity in this chamber? There is so much anti-Palestinian racism in this chamber that my colleagues don’t even want to acknowledge that Palestinians exist at all, not when they’re alive and now not even when they’re dead. It’s absolutely disgusting. This is genocide denial.”
