Today is Diwali, the biggest Hindu Festival and modern day Hindu Fascists have brainwashed people into killing themselves by burning billions of crackers in a single night.
The air is quite literally unbreathable and looks white. Yet people won't stop burning crackers. No one wears a mask btw.
Hinduism is easily the most destructive religion on Earth right now, the pollution generated from rituals and festivals is unimaginable. As an ex-Hindu, this casteist piece of shit religion is a bane on Indian society actively working against the betterment of the Indian people. I wish the Communists in India actually had the balls to do a revolution in the 1950s and we wouldn't be in this mess.
it’s 8pm and I haven’t heard anything near me thank god. Last year the Diwali celebrations were madness, shit sounded like bombs going off just over the hill. Multiple dogs had seizures and I think at least one died. A few of the explosions shook my house.
I don’t want this to be a Diwali hate comment, July 4 also sucks, but July 4 doesn’t sound like someone’s firebombing the next neighborhood over and the explosions are much closer. No idea on the dog fatality rate.
Edit: just talked to my mom, supposedly Diwali celebrations were held over the weekend. I didn’t hear anything so they must’ve used like regular fireworks. Not sure what the hell they were using last year but it really did sound like my neighbors were being firebombed
