Yes. I see evidence of an intelligent designer in things like DNA and the functions of cells. I find it difficult to believe everything evolved by accident through a series of quadrillions of beneficent mutations.

We have a ton of evidence for the evolutionary origin, so I would find that infinitely more believable than the intelligent designer for which we have absolutely no evidence.

Ok, so does that thought process just apply to this planet though? Why not other planets? Not trying to be rude, but how do you expand your idea into the known universe, or even just our solar system?

[-] Ineocla@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 year ago

Not op but as a muslim the same applies to the whole universe. Just because the religious books talk mostly about the earth doesn't mean other planets don't exist. Infact the quran says that allah created the universe and is expanding it

The quran also says to kill infidels. You good with that?

Stopped clock and all that.

I'm sitting here in bed with my back sore from sleeping. If there was an intelligent designer then they were a sadist or incompetent.

[-] Bytemeister@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Wait, some asshole designed my DNA to strip the ends off every time it copies, leading to horrible age-related diseases?
