I'm dirty and must be scrubbed. Y'all who shower in sub 5 minutes discounting dress/undress times, how well do you actually clean yourself? Because I can't see more than a passing sigh. Get in, wet, shampoo, soap, scrub, rinse, condition, rinse, like unless you're just slipping soap on yourself instead of actually scrubbing I dunno how you could be in and out so quick.
Yes. No scrubbing. Trying to do away with most of the soap too.
In the end rhis mostly just hurts my skin.

That takes about 5 minutes, more if I shave at the same time (am dude, but don't shave every day). I don't think I've ever taken more than 10 min.
You're supposed to leave shampoo in for 5 minutes before rinsing to get the full effect, especially if you have long hair.
It wasn't until I grew my hair out that I learned how much goes into a "proper" wash beyond just "scrub with soap and a cloth/loofah." I went from like 10 minute showers with half of that being trying not to fall asleep in the shower, to 30 minutes if I'm doing more to my hair that day than giving it a rinse.
Letting the shampoo sit is only needed for medicated shampoo, like for dandruff, and that's so the medicine has time to work. For every other type of shampoo, you should rinse it right after thoroughly getting to the scalp to not irritate the scalp.
I use dandruff shampoo, hence why I wait before rinsing. If I didn't have dandruff, I'd probably do shampoo last.
I just checked all of my shampoo bottles (apparently we have almost 10... we have shampoo for dyed hair, dandruff, kids, dry hair, etc). None of them recommend waiting before rinsing, not even the dandruff shampoo (well, Selsun Blue doesn't, can't check the other since it's in my SO's native language, which I can't read). I remember seeing some other brands mention waiting (I think Head and Shoulders?), so YMMV.
I've got some L'Oreal stuff that I'm pretty sure says to let it sit. But honestly, unless you're using a medicated shampoo like you said, because I've also seen some of those that say it, who has that kind of time.
