The important thing is to continue the thought. Yeah in an individual level most of us don't matter but that should be freeing, not something we allow to damn us to a life unfulfilled.

In a year nobody is gonna remember you skipped the meeting to go skiing. But you'll remember the feeling. Live your life, and remember not to overestimate your effect on and obligation to the world around you.

I think it's better to have political agency rather than let demons dictate everything. You can Live, Laugh, Love all you like, but don't use that as a basis for thinly veiled nihilism.

Depressing and disempowering, is how I'd put that. Not freeing. Accepting the cage isn't freedom to me.

I see it more as knowing what I have control over, and accepting that, and using it to my advantage. I understand your view as well though, agree to disagree?

Sure thing, but I think I can see where you're coming from when you put it like that. I guess we're all trying to make the best of a bad situation in our own ways. I still don't completely agree with you, but I get it.
